Andrew deLaskiExecutive Director Andrew deLaski is Executive Director of the Appliance Standards Awareness Project. At ASAP, he coordinates national advocacy efforts related to federal efficiency standards and advises state policymakers and advocates interested in state level energy efficiency standards policy. He has co-authored and updated periodic national and state studies on savings potential from new appliance standards. Previously, he worked at the Consortium for Energy Efficiency and the State Public Interest Research Groups. He holds a Masters of Public Policy from the University of Michigan and a B.A. in economics from the University of Virginia. |

Marianne DiMascioOutreach Director Marianne DiMascio is the Outreach Director for the Appliance Standards Awareness Project. Her primary role is to create awareness of and to build support for appliance efficiency standards on both the federal and state level, building a coalition of supporters through outreach, education and advocacy. She is co-author of Ka-Boom! The Power of Appliance Standards: Opportunities for New Federal Appliance and Equipment Standards. Marianne worked previously training health providers in developing countries. She was a Course Director and Deputy Director of the Management Training Program at Management Sciences for Health. Marianne holds a Master's in Education from Harvard University and a B.A. in Social Work from the University of New Hampshire. |
Joanna MauerTechnical Advocacy Coordinator As the Technical Advocacy Coordinator for ASAP, Joanna coordinates a broad coalition of efficiency advocates to provide technical analysis and comments on the Department of Energy (DOE) efficiency standards rulemakings for residential appliances and commercial equipment. Prior to joining ASAP, Joanna was a Physical Scientist at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Before that she worked as a Research Assistant at the Center for Integrative Environment Research where she contributed to studies on energy efficiency in Maryland. Joanna also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Dominican Republic working on rural water and sanitation. She holds a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Cornell University and an M.P.P. from the University of Maryland with a specialization in environmental policy.

Adam Christensen is the Staff Engineer for ASAP. Adam leads ASAP’s technical analysis on energy efficiency standards for a focused subset of technologies, conducting research that will serve as the foundation for future energy efficiency standards. He is focused on the development and implementation of strategic plans and technical research initiatives that will advance energy efficiency for a select group of home appliances, lighting products and commercial and industrial equipment. Adam joined ASAP after serving two years as a Congressional Science Fellow, sponsored by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. During his Fellowship, Adam focused on several aspects of energy policy, including energy efficiency, for both Representative Jay Inslee (WA) and Senator Dianne Feinstein (CA). Adam holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
